Artist Statement:

I am an interdisciplinary artist creating drawings and collages that emphasize sequence. I am intrigued by the vulnerable correspondences between memory, and relationships that form our identity. Particularly, I am interested in how our past experiences shape our lovers, fears, and passions. My own significant loss of adolescent memories has left me with an obsessive demand to remember, a compulsion to understand and communicate with what I cannot reach. In my work I place an emphasis on touch and texture, seeking to create work the viewer desires to hold gently. In my work I place an emphasis on touch and texture, seeking to create pieces the viewer desires to hold gently and look attentively. My materials are all reappropriated archival ephemera, so that each work carries with it its own provenance alongside mine.
